If you’re looking for delicious snacks to have this Halloween, here are some easy and affordable recipes!
Items/Ingredients: Apples, covering chocolate, gummy Lifesavers candy, chocolate chips, red writing icing, skewer sticks, parchment paper
Wash the apples and dry them. Insert the apples on the sticks. Place the melting chocolate in bowl and microwave for thirty seconds, then stir. Continue this process until chocolate melts completely. Insert the apple in the chocolate bowl and apply the coat evenly, then place on parchment paper to set. Continue this process until all apples are coated with chocolate. Apply one Lifesaver gummy in the center of the apple. In the middle of the gummy, apply one chocolate chip to simulate an eye (you may need leftover melting chocolate to apply on the candy). Once dried, add red squiggly lines around candy to accentuate the eye. Enjoy!
Decorative Rice Krispy Treats
Ingredients: Rice crispy cereal, marshmallows, chocolate, mini M&M, butter
Melt butter in a bowl by placing it in the microwave. Add marshmallows to the bowl and stir until they melt and look creamy. Pour the rice crispy cereals and then stir. With a spoon or scoop, place the rice crispy treats in circles on a pan. Dip the tips of the rice crispy treats into melted chocolate, then add seven M&M candies on the chocolate area. These are just a few simple festive snack to celebrate Halloween from home, or in your dorm.
Decorative Halloween cookies
Ingredients: Oreos, sprinkles, Lifesaver gummies, chocolate
If you want a festive snack for Halloween, you cant go wrong with Oreos. Open up a pack, melt some chocolate to help hold the sprinkles in place later on. Then, decorate with sprinkles using a smiley face layout, or just sprinkle it all over. Apply gummies on top of the smileys (this will make the gummies look like ears for the smiley chocolate cookies), or just wherever at the top of the chocolate-covered cookies. This snack takes ten minutes to make and even quicker to enjoy.
