Students disappointed by mental health services at CSUSB

This conclusion was made after receiving complaints from a number of students who indicated that the center had either ignored or taken a much longer time to respond to their requests for mental health services. Students utilize wellness platform to keep track of their health
The Wellness Center, along with the campus' partners, has launched You @ CSUSB where students can self-evaluate their wellness and access other campus resources. The platform consists of three domains: Succeed, Thrive, and Matter. Sonia Martinez, who is the Wellness Supervisor of the Recreation and Wellness Center, said, “Given our seven dimensions of wellness on campus (Physical, Social, Intellectual, Financial, Emotional, Spiritual, and Environmental), we categorized each dimension of wellness to fit into the three given domains." Rec Center Snowboarding Trips

Center have various snowboarding trips scheduled throughout the month of February. The next scheduled date for snowboarding at Mountain High is Feb. 18 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. For Snow Valley, the next trip is planned for Feb. 20 from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. The deadline to sign up for Mt. Sometimes they are too busy to schedule an appointment with their primary care physician. “It’s convenient to visit the Health Center,” said Leticia Valdez. “I didn’t want to go all the way to my doctor’s office, and the medication is cheap.” The Health Center offers an array of services including free routine office visits, low cost physicals, and lab and x-ray services. Calderon performed a healthy food demonstration to students.
