There are several health-related options that our school provides for students to enjoy and to ensure they get the best options for fitness. Weightlifting is viewed by some, as either intimidating or as something that is masculine and could potentially hinder their feminine appearance. When a small sample of female students were asked if they lifted weights on a regular basis, all of them said, “no.” “I associate weightlifting with muscle mass and bulkiness,” said student Angelica Ramos.
