CSUSB’s "Here to Career" internship program held an accounting webinar for students who would like to know more about money management. LaVonne Shields, an accountant who guides people on how to manage their money for their business, hosted the seminar. The topics of discussion had a focus on how to understand the financial flow of a business, which included looking at bank statements and the cost of goods and sales. Students also received advice on how to earn and save money. One of the things that Shields talked about was the risk of loans, specifically the risk of the lender and the debtor. Webinar hosted to assist with overcoming procrastination
With the spring quarter underway, students are preparing for rigorous assignments and new material. Stress and anxiety, which often lead to procrastination, are common emotions that students might experience. Some students may feel overwhelmed with the sudden, statewide shift of classes being virtually-delivered online through Blackboard and Zoom, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and feeling overwhelmed can lead students to procrastinate on their responsibilities. Pro-choice advocates continue discussion through online platforms
The spread of COVID-19 has pushed people in office to enforce orders that require people to practice social distancing and only go out in public for essential services. One of these services, abortion, has been deemed by many states, such as Texas, to not be an essential service and many clinics are either being shut down or are denied funds to perform the procedure.
