By Robert Klimper |Copy Editor| Capcom offers up new and old survival horror fans a chance to revisit the zombie outbreak in Raccoon City with Resident Evil 2. Resident Evil 2 is a full HD remake of the original ‘98 title of the same name, unlike a remaster, which would just be the original game with updated graphics, this game is in its own way a new and original title. While the story of this game shares similarities with the original game, certain characters and plot points are given more focus and relevance due to a change in how video game stories are expected to be nowadays and no longer having the limitations of older hardware. The story of Resident Evil 2 involves two … [Read more...] about Video Game Review: Resident Evil 2

Cuphead Review
It has been over five years in the making, but the 1930s cartoon-inspired videogame “Cuphead” finally released Sept. 29, and I decided to see if this beautiful game is as good as it looks. Cuphead is one of those games that I have heard about for years, but honestly, I was never sure if I would get to play it. While the game visuals look amazing, it is only for the Xbox One and the PC, which are two systems that I do not game on. However, I am happy to report that the game has very low system requirements; my cheap outdated laptop runs it without overheating. Super Mario Odyssey Review
This October marks the release of the first traditional 3-D Mario Brothers game since 2010 on Nintendo Switch. Super Mario Odyssey, as it is called, doesn't fail to make the wait worth the while. The game has had a strong release, selling two million copies in only three days, according to Nintendo’s own financial reports. This is equally impressive when one considers that there are only seven million Switch consoles sold so far. Odyssey is also averaging an … [Read more...] about Super Mario Odyssey Review

The new releases are currently topping the 3DS eShop charts. Persona 5 steals gamers free time
By Robert Klimper |Staff Writer| Gamers can take the lead of a gang of thieves and steal corrupt hearts in hopes of making the world a better in “Persona 5 (P5).” The sixth installment of the “Persona” franchise was released worldwide on April 4, 2017 after several delays since its originally planned release in winter of 2014. It was released in Japan on Sept. 15, 2016. Even though this is the sixth entry into the franchise, new players do not have to worry. As has been the case since “Persona 3,” the game can be enjoyed on its own merit, outside of minor references to previous installments. Atlus, the producers of the “Persona” series, improves upon the elements that fans of the … [Read more...] about Persona 5 steals gamers free time
