Student Denise Bustamante chooses various make up products that she wears on a typical day. “Well first it’s moisturizer, then primer, color corrector, concealer, foundation, blush, highlight, then goes the eye shadows,” listed Bustamante.. NASA rocket blows up during launch
By Francisco Casillas |Staff Writer| An unmanned cargo rocket heading to the International Space Station (ISS) exploded Tuesday night, only seconds after initial liftoff in Virginia in what NASA is calling a “catastrophic anomaly.” At 6:22 p.m., only six seconds after liftoff, a spark ignited in the lower section of the 14-story-high Antares rocket, resulting in an explosion and then “falling to earth,” according to NASA officials. Designed by Orbital Sciences Corporation, the cargo rocket carried 5,000 pounds of supplies, equipment, and science experiments to the ISS, according to a report released by NASA. By Brittany Crow | Staff Editor| Country Line dancing made its way to CSUSB on Oct. 21, between the Joshua and Mojave buildings at Serrano Village. The event was organized by Tommy Slocumb, the residential assistant (RA) for the Joshua Building. The event lasted an hour, with approximately 20-30 student participants. Every quarter, each RA from Serrano Village organizes two events that are open to both residents and commuters. By Nicole Maldonado |Staff Writer| It’s 1:55 p.m. and you make it to the door just in time for your exam when you remember you forgot the most vital utensil for a midterm—a Scantron. You run to the Santos Manuel Student Union only to find all vending locations are completely out of the test taking material you need. Without spare change on you to purchase one, you race back to class, late. “Does anyone have an extra Scantron I can borrow?” you ask breathlessly, disrupting the beginning of the test.
