Millions of us wake up every day, grab our phone and check Instagram. We scroll, like posts, follow someone here and there and go about our day. But how would our relationship with Instagram be if we had 61,000 people watching our every post? Is social media fame as glamorous as it looks? This is what 19-year-old Valentina Carrick deals with. Many stars such as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Will Smith, Tia and Tamera Mowry, and the infamous cast of the loved TV show, Boy Meets World, all started in the 90s. Stars step out with the ADA

By Alyssa Gradias & Abigail Tejada |Staff Writer & A&E editor| The American Diabetes Association hosted the annual Step Out Walk to stop diabetes on Nov. 2. More than 4,000 local walkers attended, including the wonderful siblings Jillian Rose and Robbie Tucker who have worked closely with ADA ever since their older brother was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. November is Diabetes awareness month and currently there are nearly 26 million Americans who have diabetes. In efforts to raise awareness stars gathered up at the Step Out Walk for the ADA. CSUSB Observatory

  By Melissa Benton |Staff Writer| The $3 million state-of-the-art Murillo Family Observatory is the only teaching facility of its kind in the Inland Empire. The observatory held its official ribbon cutting ceremony on Nov. 18. Its official open house was scheduled for Jan. 27, but was canceled due to high winds. Another open house is in the works and is looking to be scheduled at the end of March. The observatory was named for George and Pauline Murillo, their family and the San Manuel tribal members who made major contributions to finance it. NBA creating “dream teams”

By Kiera Thomas Staff Writer All eyes are on the NBA “trade season,” as the final push toward the playoffs begins. All-Star weekend gave fans incredible plays, near impossible dunks, but also signified the new level of intensity needed to make it to the post-season. There are just over 20 games remaining in the regular season. Teams like the Los Angeles Lakers and the San Antonio Spurs are focusing on sharpening their skills and executing on offense and defense. “I am not worried about the Lakers this year, but I can see a lot of teams in the Eastern Conference preparing for next year,” said Sylvester Bell.
