Representatives from various sports and entertainment organizations gathered in the SMSU Theater to share their experience and insight with CSUSB students. The Anaheim Angels, Cinema Culturas, Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG)/L.A. Kings, Live Nation, L.A. Dodgers and the L.A. Rams were all represented on the panel on May 21. They discussed their positions in the companies, the most exciting aspects of their jobs, gave resume and cover letter “do’s and don’ts,” and shared what they look for in potential candidates. Sex talk ignites the university

The event began with an introduction panel called Sex in the Dark, a time for students to address their concerns to experts while in a glow in the dark room. For students, this made it acceptable to shine their light in interest about reproductive health and safe sex that many might have anxiety to speak out. The Wind of Peace: Music and Poetry of the Middle East
By Joshua Aguilar |Staff Writer| CSUSB’s Center for Islamic and Middle Eastern Students (CIMES) held an event entitled, “The Wind of Peace: Music and Poetry of the Middle East” on Tuesday, May 10. The event was attended by close to 300 students in the Santos Manuel Student Union Theater and lasted from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The event brought a diverse amount of music and poetry from the Middle East for the audience to listen and appreciate. “It exposes different cultures and different mindsets to people and that pretty much clears any ignorance we have,” said student Erika Banuelos. “You’re more open to other people’s views about the world,” added Banuelos. Dance auditions electrify students

Those are the feelings dancers such as Raven Taylor say they feel this every time they perform their dance routines. The Santos Manuel Student Union's Osher Adult Re-Entry Center (OARC) here at CSUSB is hosting auditions for a dance showcase that will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 6-8 p.m. in the SMSU Event Center. Performance artist Rebecca Kling transforms CSUSB
By Marissa Mooney |Staff Writer| The Pride Center at CSUSB welcomed Chicago-based artist Rebecca Kling to the Santos Manuel Student Union on April 25 to present her one-woman show on her identity as a transgendered woman. Kling presented "Allusion/Illusion: A Day with Rebecca Kling" and a performance of Trans Form at the SMSU Theater. Gabby Sandoval, a student assistant at the Pride Center introduced Rebecca right before her multimedia performance that included video, story-telling, movement and acting.
