The event brought out a lot of people to participate including the men from Sigma Phi Epsilon, and Phi Beta Sigma. It was intended to raise awareness of sexual assault, abuse and rape that happen everyday to women. A Mile In Her Shoes challenged men to wear red women’s high heels and walk a “mile” around the library lawn to show men that it was not easy for a women to look good, but for them to also understand that the things they say when a woman looks “hot” or “sexy” could be taken for sexual assault.
