It’s not about what you know but who you know
By Shirleena Baggett |Staff Writer| I believe we are all in school for one thing: to graduate. But what about life after our grandiose commencement ceremonies and paper certifications? I will be the first to admit that I am not prepared for the "the real world," and I do not think obtaining a degree is all that I need. We have all heard it before—it is not what you know, but who you know. It would be lovely to be able to believe that all of our student loans, late night cram sessions and last minute early morning attempts to finish research papers would guarantee us our dream careers, but unfortunately, that is not the case.
