Savannah Barras describes her experience in the dorms at Serrano Village as great. “The biggest thing I love about living here is the atmosphere. I never thought living on campus would bring so many opportunities my way,” said Barras. Residential assistants get students dancing
By Kenneth Young |Staff Writer| Country Line dancing made its way to CSUSB on Oct. 21, between the Joshua and Mojave buildings at Serrano Village. The event was organized by Tommy Slocumb, the residential assistant (RA) for the Joshua Building. The event lasted an hour, with approximately 20-30 student participants. Every quarter, each RA from Serrano Village organizes two events that are open to both residents and commuters. Living in the dorms for the first time, I've noticed that these rooms are so bare. I felt like the four white walls were talking to me. For my first week, I had absolutely nothing in my room; it was so painfully bare that I felt like it wasn't really mine. San Bernardino, CSUSB sucks water at staggering rates
By Jonathan Ng |Staff Writer| Water consumption is a financial factor to the community here in San Bernardino, and can prove to be a very costly problem if not taken seriously. According to the City of San Bernardino Water Department, the city uses an average of about 226 gallons of water per person each day for both residential and commercial purposes. Citizens unaware of household appliance water consumption may consume more water than they might think.
