Coyote Watch: Students celebrate Earth Day by expressing concern for the planet

By Lupe Duran |Staff Writer| What did you do on Earth Day and why do you feel it’s necessary to get involved on this day? Earth Day, celebrated April 22, a day where everyone comes together to do their small part and make a big difference on the planet we call home. San Bernardino, CSUSB sucks water at staggering rates

By Jonathan Ng |Staff Writer| Water consumption is a financial factor to the community here in San Bernardino, and can prove to be a very costly problem if not taken seriously. According to the City of San Bernardino Water Department, the city uses an average of about 226 gallons of water per person each day for both residential and commercial purposes. Citizens unaware of household appliance water consumption may consume more water than they might think. Green initiative: Green Campus

By Kenneth Johnson  |Staff Writer| CSUSB is on its way to reducing its carbon footprint by 15 percent. The school is one of the first six California campuses to pilot the Green Campus program. The focus of the Green Campus program is to educate the campus community on energy conservation.     The program has expanded to include a number of quantitative projects with direct measurable savings. “This is very interesting and also fits within our campus. We are built right by the mountains; we should take advantage of all the resources surrounding us,” said Kenneth Mosely, CSUSB student.
