Businesses slowly reopen in California

May 20, 2020 by Zuleima De La Cruz Leave a Comment

Many Americans’ concerns are rising now that California is starting to reopen in stages. While several Riverside County residents feel like it's too soon and unsafe to start reopening, others think it’s appropriate as long as it's handled with caution. Restaurants are slowly planning to re-open with restrictions, but employees fear for their safety. IHOP is planning to re-open to the public on June 1 in Menifee, California. Sara Denali, a server at the IHOP in Menifee, states that she still fears her job to re-open and get her kids sick with all the people she’s in contact with during her shift. “I still feel unsafe to start work again. I am a server and have the most contact … [Read more...] about Businesses slowly reopen in California

May 3, 2015 by Archived posts Leave a Comment

By Angie Burkhart |Staff Writer| If you're looking for a unique and rustic spin on American cuisine, such as burgers and craft beer, Eureka! is the spot for you! The word eureka, according to Merriam-Webster, is "used to express excitement when a discovery has been made." With this definition in mind, this restaurant had better live up to their name. Upon entering, you can't help but notice aromas of roasted garlic, caramelized onion, and savory beef. The dark wood flooring, along … [Read more...] about Eureka! Restaurant Review

By Adrian Carlos |Staff Writer| A fully stocked nacho bar, an adventurous scavenger hunt and free iPad mini put a cherry on top of this year’s Santos Manuel Student Union (SMSU) birthday. Dishing it up With Diana: Vegan

March 10, 2011 by Archived posts 1 Comment

By Diana Cansino Features Editor I walked in not expecting much. I mean it was like I kidnapped myself, and instead of going to a place filled with hamburgers, mashed potatoes and bacon, I ended up in a vegan place. It also didn’t help that I was greeted by a tiny glass. I was hungry as hell, and the fact that the cat was taunting me, and waving its small paw back and forth really rubbed me the wrong way. I ended up here because my vegan friend was hungry too, and I decided to sympathize with him and go eat some place where he would be able to enjoy something besides water. So, I sat at the table and prayed … yes prayed that perhaps they had one, just one option that was made … [Read more...] about Dishing it up With Diana: Vegan
