The early '70s punk movement was born in London and was known as an anarchic and aggressive movement. To punk teens this meant freedom, they wore what they wanted disregarding the social norms. The Rancho Cucamonga band has played with some well-known groups such as Korn, The Dead Kennedys and Shiny Toy Guns. The Short Necked Giraffes have been consistently performing and recording since 2006. "We started as a pop punk band in the summer of 2006," said the band. The new album includes the top 20 hit single “What the Hell.” Lavigne’s fourth effort heads a different direction than her previous multi-platinum album “The Best Damn Thing,” where fans experienced a more pop genre than her infamous punk-rock style. “The album is not as pop-rock as my previous stuff.
