Apartment buildings and complexes from suburbs around San Bernardino compete for their share of the market. There is constant debate on whether or not living close to campus is worth the price. Gas prices at their lowest since 2010

Managing Editor| Gas prices have been on a steady drop for months leaving prices at their lowest rate since 2010, leading to an increase in consumer spending during the holiday season. Sixty percent of gas stations in the U.S. are selling gasoline at lower than $3 per gallon. The cheapest place that sells gasoline is in South Carolina or Tennessee, where the state average is $2.75 per gallon, according to The Washington Post. Food, shelter and medical care have all been increasing while gas prices are rapidly decreasing. Reports show that low-income Americans spend about 13 percent of their income on gasoline. Gas prices burn holes in students pockets
By Tom Stillwagon |Staff Writer| The price of gas has likely gone up in your town again this past week. You aren't alone; the entire nation is facing this dilemma. Gas prices are currently averaging $4.35 per gallon in San Bernardino for regular unleaded. This is up from a national average of $3.27 in December 2011. Students are feeling the extra burden on their wallets. Justin Lamb, student commuter from Riverside, is no exception. “My mom, she would give me some gas money each week,” said Lamb. “It used to last me all week, like 15 or 20 bucks, I could get through a week, week and a half.
