Father of the pill dies
By Mackenzie Viera |Staff Writer| Dr. Carl Djerassi, best known as the father of birth control, died in his San Francisco home at 91. “Gimme Shelter” an empowering film
By Chrisoula Baroudos |Staff Writer| Vanessa Hudgens’ performance in “Gimme Shelter” captured her audience through the realistic role as Agnes “Apple” Bailey. Director Ron Krauss did a great job capturing the spiritual elements of the story based upon actual events about young girls who are pregnant. I recommend this movie for young girls because it teaches them the importance of self-respect and the realism of … [Read more...] about “Gimme Shelter” an empowering film

By Angelice Romero |Staff Writer| Full time employees, no matter what company they work for, should get free contraception from their health insurance providers. It is less harmful to use contraception than it is to spread diseases and have unwanted pregnancies. President Barack Obama has proposed that all employers should provide contraception to their employees through their medical insurance. This became an issue for employers who do not believe in contraception for religious, conservative or moral reasons. Roman Catholic bishops and other religious leaders severely opposed this mandate claiming it as a violation of religious liberty. Pres.
