By Carley Bennecke |Staff Writer| The Coyotes’ women’s water polo team suffered two losses at the Whittier Aquatic Center on Feb. 8. They battled in their first 10:20 a.m game against Pomona-Pitzer College. Coyotes were down 6-1 after the first period, and 11-4 at the break. The Coyotes lost by over 10 points: Pomona-Pitzer 17, Coyotes 6. Junior goalkeeper Madison Morris had three saves in the first half. The game remained one-sided throughout as the Coyotes struggled. By Devan Lee |Staff Writer| Coyote women's water polo fell short again losing to both Pomona-Pitzer (10-15) and University of La Verne (11-19) on Sat. April 6. On Saturday morning, the Coyotes prepared for a non-conference match up against the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens. It was senior day, which marked the end of careers for seniors Georgina Bray, Heather Bertram, Sierra Deforge and Misty Vu as well as the final home match of the 2012-2013 season. The first half of the match appeared to be in favor of the Sagehens as they took the lead in the first and second quarters of playing time. Reneker is a CSUSB alumni graduate of 2006, majoring in Communication-Mass Media. Her major has given her the experience to interact with individuals on multiple levels. She also expanded her photography skills as a side business. “I began doing photography when I wrote for Coyote Chronicle,” said Reneker. She began playing water polo at John W. Bright future in Vu

Now with graduation slowly creeping around the corner, Vu must consider where she wants to go next. “I plan on going to grad school,” said Vu. “But if all else fails, I want to go backpacking in Europe.” Vu graduated from John W. Polo struggles to tread water

The team is off to a disappointing start after two straight years of subpar performances. The team started off the season with a 3-3 record but immediately lost 7 straight and an average team would start to have doubts about their ability to compete. But this is not an average team.
