Productive campus community blood drive
By Daniel Escamilla In addition to the blood drive on October 20 this fall quarter, a couple of lifestream blood banks were seen throughout the campus for the community blood drive that again took place on November 5, 2019, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Participants consisted primarily of staff and students having their blood drawn for donation. Lifestream blood bank's recruitment representative, Erica, helped with student's paperwork before getting blood drawn. Snapchat is a video and photo messaging application that allows users to record or take pictures to send to a controlled list of recipients. “Snapchats” are viewable for a specified time the user determines and cannot be accessed after being viewed. Many campuses have self-titled accounts but the school administration is not affiliated with those accounts. Students anonymously developed these accounts and asked users to send footage that may contain nudity, sexual activity, and drug usage. Generations of Chicanos' hardships and struggles are visible in the Chicano mural exhibit which is on display Jan. 26- May 25, 2013 at the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art (RAFFMA). Deana Romo, a studio art major with a concentration in photography, has recently grabbed the attention of her professor, Thomas McGovern, with her most recent project. “My style is mostly revolved around people in the media and how people are so wrapped up in what beauty is. James Smart has a brilliant knack for capturing the treacherous terrain of the western United States. The CSUSB professor and Coyote Chronicle faculty advisor had his wonderful works on display over the weekend at the 32nd annual Art for Heaven’s Sake show in Redlands, California. The art show, held at the Redlands United Church of Christ, features more than 60 artists in the fi elds of painting, ceramics, photography and jewelry. Many of the artists are local, but over the years the art show has showcased exhibits from all across the globe.
