By Marion Gil |Staff Writer| San Bernardino citizens are braced for the city to make financial changes due to the recently declared bankruptcy and constantly increasing debt. The bankruptcy has become one of the primary focuses for the city, with increasing public safety expenses and pension benefits put under the most blame. “Every one of us is suffering from these skyrocketing costs,” said San Jose Mayor Chuck, “San Bernardino is certainly at the top of the list of those with difficulties.” According to San Bernardino Mayor Patrick J. CSU budget tightens belt
By Angelina Garibay |Staff Writer| The CSU system is being asked to tighten their belts once again in the midst of a budget that could potentially reduce state funding by a total of $1 billion. You can’t open a newspaper or go online without news of California’s budget crisis right in your face. The trouble with so much news is that we can get desensitized to the grave issues that are facing all of us university students throughout the state. It isn’t just the colleges that are suffering.
