Latino Musician Prince Royce lands new show

King's famous song "Stand By Me," and giving it a smooth urban beat. The remake quickly became a hot hit, making it on to the top ten Latin Billboard Chart; not only was this the beginning of Royce's career, but the kick-off to a new bilingual style of music. “Lights, camera, dance”
By Ivanna Carlos |Staff Writer| CSUSB’s University Dance Company (UDC) presented “Lights, Camera, Dance” with its opening night Feb. 19, at 7:30 p.m. They didn’t just put on one spectacular show but four. From Feb. 19-21, UDC preformed 24 dances each night with Saturday having two shows, a matinee at 2:30 p.m., and its regular showing at 7:30 p.m., which included a little bit of everything from jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, tap, Latin, and gospel. UDC members are not just current CSUSB students but also graduates, professional dancers, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, and cousins. Player of the week: Nicole Nobbe
By Jacques Lee |Staff Writer| In the classroom, Nicole Nobbe is just your everyday college student, but on the softball field, she is a force to be reckoned with. She was recently named the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II National Player of the Week for the games between Feb. 10 - 15. This award is given to the player with the highest batting average of the week. She received the award for having a staggering batting average of .721 going (16-22) over that week. Soccer siblings are more than family
By Brittany Filippini & Eileen Gutierrez |Staff Writers| Soccer Sisters While sisters Kristina and Erika Gomez shine on the soccer field, one has struggled off the field but managed to keep her spirits up through it all. Erika, the younger of the two, is a junior here at CSUSB and has had some battles on and off the field. Though her freshmen year was filled with progress and good feelings, her sophomore year is when she was faced with health issues. “My sophomore year during the middle of season I had a tumor removed from my breast and I had problems with my liver which caused me to have no appetite and energy,” said Erika.
