By Amanda Mendoza |Staff Writer| Coyote baseball came home with a tie for 2 in their four game series against the CSU Monterey Bay Otters on the weekend of April 12-14. The Coyotes topped off, winning the first two games of the weekend series, making a great come back during game two. The Otters left with the last two wins, claiming the 28th spot in NCAA collegiate baseball rankings. Stepping out on the field not sure of what was to come, the Yotes scored two runs in the first inning. Coyotes Pond, Caruso, Day are MLB draft hopefuls
By Spencer Hirsch |Staff Writer| Josh Pond, Cory Caruso, and Brandon Day are looking to follow in Aaron Brooks’ footsteps Josh Pond, Cory Caruso, and Brandon Day would love to have a deep playoff run and make it all the way to the NCAA Division II Baseball College World Series in North Carolina. The icing on the cake for the three of them will occur at season’s end in June if they are drafted and sign with a major league team. Coyote right-handed pitching phenom Aaron Brooks did it last year as he was drafted and signed by the Kansas City Royals.
