Coyotes lose double header to San Diego Tritans
By Amanda Mendoza |Staff Writer| The Coyotes took a sweeping loss in their double header against the UC San Diego Tritons on Saturday April 27 at Fiscalini Field. The Coyotes and the Tritons split earlier games on Thursday and Friday in La Jolla, with UCSD winning 7-3 and the Coyotes winning 4-2. The Yotes struggled defensively and lost game one on Saturday with a final score, 4-11. However, Aaron Beckley had two RBI's, one on a walk in the second inning and the other singled to right field, in the fourth inning. CSUSB baseball breaks even in four game series against SFSU Gators
By Amanda Mendoza |Staff Writer| It was a 2-2 series tie for the Coyote’s baseball team against the San Francisco State Gators on the weekend of April 19-21. The Coyotes gave the Gators a proper welcome greeting by winning game one. Junior pitcher Ken Kissell, delivered a complete game on Friday with a final score of 8-2. Kissell’s arm was on fire completing nine innings and only giving up nine hits and two runs. He felt great after throwing a second complete game of the season. “My team played really good behind me. I usually do well when my team plays good defense,” said Kissell. Water polo ends season with loss to Sonoma State
By Amy Cutillo |Staff Writer| Coyote water polo had a rough time last weekend as they were unable to pull away with a victory during their final weekend of play this season. The Coyotes played their last match against Sonoma State and lost a tough contest, 18–9 . Georgianna Brau and Meghan McCarthy scored three goals apiece, but were unable to rally their teammates who trailed 6–0 through one quarter and 10–2 at halftime. The Coyotes battled throughout but came up short. The loss ended their season with an overall record of 4–37. Altogether, it was a rough season in general.
