Seaside Audio & The Fathomless Feel rock Back to the Grind

October 11, 2014 by Archived posts 2 Comments

By Nadia Ahmad |Staff Writer| Back to The Grind, a venue known for its open mics and local gigs, featured two charming bands: Seaside Audio and The Fathomless Feel. Seaside Audio is a band that will cause you to get lost in the moment, and The Fathomless Feel will have you dancing around your room or rocking out in your car. The intimate crowd consisted of loyal Seaside Audio and The Fathomless Feel fans who heard about the show through the grapevine. The rest of the crowd seemed to be a few coffee lovers who were there to catch up on some homework on a Saturday night. As soon as Seaside Audio took the stage everyone immediately looked up from their screens and never looked back … [Read more...] about Seaside Audio & The Fathomless Feel rock Back to the Grind

AJ Salazar drums his way into the spotlight

October 30, 2012 by Archived posts

By Mariela Limon |Staff Writer| CSUSB's very own AJ Salazar is working hard towards his education while playing a key component in local bands Spirit Fangs and What Hands Are For. Most students not only go to classes and study, but they also have jobs and families to take care of. This gives us very little free time on the side to do much more, but that doesn't stop Salazar. Salazar is the drummer for both bands. "I started in seventh grade. My friends in middle school wanted to start a band and they needed a drummer." "I took private lessons for two years. I learned how to read music and technique," said Salazar. He has been apart of 10 bands since then. Although music is a … [Read more...] about AJ Salazar drums his way into the spotlight
