Rec’ing it, Rep 3 – Meal time

April 23, 2012 by Archived posts

By Kyla Cook |News Editor| So my last entry was about what you should eat, and it probably seems like you'll be cutting a lot of the good stuff you like to eat such as candy and chips, but I'm not lying to you ... it is possible! The secret? 5-6 small meals a day. Why the 5 meals? There are many different reasons and you can find them in many different magazines and books. But here's one that's simple enough: http://www.thehealthyeatingguide.com/6smallmealsaday.html My main reason is it boosts my metabolism and keeps me from overeating. I'd rather have 6 smaller meals than one 1,000 calorie one from any restaurant. It's hard to get started though, I had to force myself to eat … [Read more...] about Rec’ing it, Rep 3 – Meal time

January 22, 2012 by Archived posts Leave a Comment

By Yetunde Keme |Staff Writer| Up-and-coming pop singer Lana Del Rey is making her debut in the music spotlight with a new album, but not everyone is impressed. Although Del Rey is known for her unique creativity in her music, the 25-year-old New York native, whose real name is Elizabeth Grant, was recently criticized for her not-so-enlightening performance on Saturday Night Live. Actress Juliette Lewis made a statement on Twitter that her SNL performance, “. . . was like watching a 12-year-old in their bedroom when they’re pretending to sing and perform.” Another critic, Nick Denton of Gawker Media, also described the singer’s performance as, “one of the worst outings in SNL … [Read more...] about Rising star Lana Del Rey flubs SNL performance
