CSUSB president proposes plan to end student disturbance

By Marlyn Rodriguez |Opinions Editor| CSUSB president plans to work with local communities to help improve student conduct in residential areas surrounding campus. President Dr. Tomas Morales provided a commentary in The Sun where he states he is planning on reaching out to local landlords at apartment complexes where students are known to reside. Professors emphasize Academic Integrity Awareness Week

By Brittany Crow |Staff Writer| Academic awareness was the hot topic of the week, where seven of the peer advising departments on campus offered events for students to learn about plagiarism and research ethics. Four separate events throughout the week discussed plagiarism, how to cite citations, learning to use the Zotero management tool and how to avoid cheating. The event on Wednesday, Oct. 16, consisted a panel of experts from the participating departments who focused on what plagiarism is, and how easy it is to steal someone’s work.
