By Nadia Ahmad |Staff Writer| Hundreds of enthusiastic fans crowded into the The Belasco Theatre to see the beloved band Weezer on Nov. 7. Weezer is one of the most popular bands of the last twenty years, and if you think that after performing for twenty years, a band would lose their flare live, Weezer will prove you wrong. Opting out of having an opening band, Weezer played an acoustic set of all of their classics, such as “El Scorcho,” “Buddy Holly,” and “Island In The Sun,” which seemed to be the crowd favorite. “It was like 1995 Weezer opened for 2014 Weezer,” said a concert attendee. Afterwards, the band performed their entire new album, Everything Will Be Alright In … [Read more...] about Weezer fire burns brighter than ever

Beach Fossils’ Sophmore Effort Delivers
By Martin Solano |Staff Writer| Beach Fossil's second album release, Clash The Truth, surprised me, 14 tracks filled with great music. I wasn’t sure what to think at first since rock music isn’t really my genre of choice, although I enjoy it I am not one to go out and listen to an entire rock album. With that said, Clash the Truth was heard in its entirety more times than I can count on one hand. Beach Fossils began as a solo project for Dustin Payseur and has now evolved into a full band, with random … [Read more...] about Beach Fossils’ Sophmore Effort Delivers

The Fling is a band that infuses indie, folk and rock to produce a quiet-loud dynamic. With much eagerness and anticipation, The Fling got a break when they were signed by LA based label Dangerbird at the end of 2010. “Getting signed by Dangerbird was huge for us. The artist roster they have is great, and we are thrilled to be a part of their family,” Ivey said. They have already had a successful year with the completion of shows across the country and a television pilot where they performed two songs from their … [Read more...] about The wild ride continues for The Fling
