Dozens of guards agreed to drug smuggling operations for a high-level trafficker. Guards believed their position would keep them from getting caught. The FBI’s annual report on crime in the U.S. stated there were about 1.16 million violent crimes in 2013, the lowest since 1.09 million were estimated in 1978. All violent crimes declined last year, with rape dropping 6.3 percent. Murder and non-negligent manslaughter dropping 4.4 percent and robbery dropping 2.8 percent, according to an article by Time. Brazil, Russia, India, China and Africa, collectively called the BRICS countries, are attempting to launch these international financial plans as a way to give emerging economies around the world an alternative to Western dominated financial loans, according to the Associated Press. About 40 percent of the finished drugs are coming from other countries, according to Dr. Margaret Hamburg, Food and Drug Administration’s commissioner. This conference is among the largest assemblies of academic professionals and researchers in India. It serves as a stepping stool for discussions, presentations and student networking opportunities.
