Although there is no law against female drivers in place, the authorities refuse to issue drivers licenses to female drivers, stated CBS News. By Maria Aguilar |Staff Writer| Election day could be affected after Hurricane Sandy swept through the east coast. Approximately 8 million people are without power across 15 states as of Oct. 31. As of Thursday afternoon, 111 polling locations have no power and 41 are running on generators in Long Island, according to the Long Island Press. “Any delay in the election would be up to the states. It’s not a federal decision. So it would be case by case,” said NBC News Chief White House Correspondent Chuck Todd. By Bryan Williams|Staff Writer| Listen up Californians! Just because your house isn’t in danger of being (wasn't)flooded doesn’t mean you won’t feel the effects of Hurricane Sandy. Even though the storm itself didn’t reach us, I believe that Sandy will affect California’s financial well being. It is safe to assume that over the next several months, California will be contributeing to the reconstruction of the East Coast. Various forms of support will be requested and or (probably) offered in the very near future. I believe that California should most definitely help in the reconstruction, but I’m not sure if the state is financially in a place to do so.
