CSU students head to the mountains to shoot a horror film

By Alec Escarcega Big Bear, California, is usually a place for tourists to enjoy many activities such as Snowboarding/Skiing, exploring the village, enjoying water sports on the lake, Oktoberfest, or even camping during the seasons. To most, it’s exactly that, but to young filmmakers, it is an area of possibility regarding location. A group of CSU students decided Big Bear was the perfect backdrop for a horror film. Old VHS curse goes viral

By Robert Klimper |Student Writer| Moviegoers will once again fear the ring of a phone with the third new movie "Rings", now playing in theaters. The newest addition to "The Ring" series of movies, despite being apart of the franchise one does not need to worry about seeing the previous films to understand the premise. "Rings" does have aspects of the story from the previous two movies, but explains it well enough for new audience. Ouija movie keeps it cheesy

By Chelsea Faler |Staff Writer| The new horror film “Oija,” released on Oct. 24, consisted mostly of scary moments already seen in the trailer or were just cheesy and typical. I had very high expectations for this film and was ready to be shivering from fear but I found myself giggling instead at some of the “scary” scenes. For instance, most of the occurrences that made you jump were things like doors closing by themselves, ghosts appearing out of thin air, and general loud creepy sounds.
