The Recreation Center on campus at CSUSB offers many exercise options to alleviate the side effects of being a student. Exercise is recommended in order to maintain a heathy lifestyle, not only to reduce stress. According to the Mayo Clinic, exercise has many positive effects, a few of which include improving ones mood and boosting energy. Burning into Winter quarter with TRX
By Uriel Ortega |Staff Writer| Total Body Resistance Exercise (TRX) is a high tempo, challenging, and unique exercise class offered at the Recreation Center. The class is geared to keep the heart rate pumping, calories burning, and pain thriving with the variety of different exercises. TRX Circuit Training is offered Mondays at 4:30 p.m. and Tuesdays at 12:00 p.m. in room 203 for all members of the Rec Center. The TRX Suspension Training is the best-in-class workout for doing hundreds of exercises using bodyweight. Vogel named millionth user at Rec Sports
By Marina Rangel |Staff Writer| The Student Recreation and Fitness Center celebrated its millionth visit Feb. 2, by giving away a prize package worth over $10,000 to one lucky member who was showered with beach balls after checking in as “One in a Million.” It came as a huge surprise to the lucky millionth visitor student David Vogel, who was met with beach balls, cake and a giant check after entering Rec Sports.
