San Bernardino's Generation Now was tactical in its way of having the community break away from the typical hangout to enjoy festivities at the Garcia Center for the Arts in San Bernardino on May 26. The Spirit and Arts event occurs every fourth Friday of the month and relies on receiving donations from local city patrons to provide resources so individuals don't have to worry about purchasing their own art supplies. What many people don’t know are the reasons behind the street art and that it isn’t always gang related. Some street artists are independent, only do legal projects, or have different reasons for their art such as wanting to become famous or simply getting a sense of self accomplishment. “I believe actual art pieces such as murals enhance a city’s culture. Art exhibit showcases skating world at CSUSB
By Ryan Hester |Staff Writer| The underground skating scene has made its way to the surface as scintillating skate decks fill the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art at CSUSB. “Full Deck: A Short History of Skate Art” is a traveling exhibition that features beautiful artwork on an unorthodox canvas: skateboard decks. The exhibition also presents the fascinating history of skate art from the 1960s to present day. Flush out bathroom graffiti with Post-Its

I was shocked when I saw that people, presumably women, had started a conversation of a philosophical nature on the walls of the bathroom stalls in the Lady’s room. Each day It mushroomed until the stall was almost covered, then the custodial staff came and repainted. The women’s restrooms are not the only ones that get defaced with graffiti; the men’s restrooms are just as bad, if not worse. You expect to see this kind of thing in high school bathrooms, but to see it at a university is completely ridiculous. There are other ways to get this need out of your system.
