May 16, 2014 by Archived posts 122 Comments

By Marlyn Rodriguez |Opinions Editor| College and high school graduates between the ages of 17 and 42 have become idled by the weak and recovering economy. Due to this, graduates are becoming less active or inactive in the economy because they are either unemployed and/or not attending school. The Economic Policy Institute (EPI) recently released a report analyzing the working conditions of high school and college graduates. February 26, 2014 by Archived posts 156 Comments

By Clarissa Toll |Staff Writer| It takes more than just the knowledge in a specific field to be hired. Employers want applicants to display “soft” skills, or personal communication skills. According to Fox Business, recent college graduates are lacking professional skills that will get them hired in today’s job market. “Despite their persistent use of social media and texting, a top complaint from employers about Millennial-age workers is their lack of communication skills,” said Kathryn Buschman Vasel of Fox Business. These soft skills, also known as people skills, focus on the college graduate’s communication skills in interpersonal interactions and their ability to work in … [Read more...] about Skills employers wish college graduates had
