The cinema takes over the streets

By Cesar Perez |Staff Writer| The world of cinema, live music, and international foods come together on the streets of Los Angeles for the season finale of Street Food Cinema. Street Food Cinema is an annual event held in various parks throughout the city of Los Angeles during the summer months and early fall. The event hosted live entertainment with different local bands, a variety of food trucks serving delicious meals, and an outside movie screening of classic and modern movies. Food trucks roll onto campus

By Amanda Wigley |Staff Writer| Say goodbye to leaving campus for lunch and say hello to the on-campus food trucks. If you are on campus Tuesdays and Thursdays between 12 and 2 p.m. you might have noticed the food trucks that are located outside the Pfau Library. On Tuesdays you will find the Calbi BBQ food truck, which is a taco and burrito shop. Thursdays the Crepe Bonaparte food truck can be found offering several different breakfast, savory, dessert and traditional crepes. Student Danny Ferryman tried the Calbi BBQ truck for the first time noting that he was drawn over because of the delicious smell. Coyote Karma Fundraising Event

By Desirae Contreras |Staff Writer| CSUSB’s first Coyote Karma fundraising event, "What you give is what you get," raised $860 towards scholarships. Coyote Karma raised $430 in student donations and along with the Karnig Scholarship Challenge Match, that amount was doubled to a $860 estimate. The money that was raised will go towards student scholarships. The event was held by the public relations practicum course, Comm 243D, in cooperation with Development and Annual Giving, Student Leadership and Development and Associated Students Inc. American Apparel took hipsterdom by storm a couple of years ago by offering very basic garments and branding them with an L.A coolness and coupling that with socially progressive stances on issues such as immigration reform and same-sex marriage rights.
