On the night of October 30, 2019, a slew of ravaging, brush fires broke out just a half-mile into the mountains located directly north of local San Bernardino neighborhoods only about a mile away from the campus. Local firefighters and medical staff rushed to help contain the blaze before it spread through the many neighborhoods it surrounded. Hernandez was driving the box truck home from an EWF event that took place in Covina on Friday night when he discovered the fire. "A fire started in the rear of the truck where not only did it burn my [wrestling] ring, but also my PA system, lighting equipment and everything else," said Hernandez. Residents lose everything in fire

On Sunday Feb. 20 a fire damaged 26 units of a 30 unit apartment building. The debris of the apartment building is all that is left days after a destructive fire took the homes of more than a hundred residents. Neighbors, of the apartment complex located at 415 S.
