The Career Center utilizes technology to provide resources, career opportunities, and events online to the campus community. While the transition to virtual space did have concerns from employer partners, they have been innovative in implementing virtual programming and services. According to Jon Paul Hernandez, the Employer Relations Specialist for the Career Center since March 2020, the center has adjusted several of its services to adapt to the new normal. RAFFMA reopens with Lebanese American and Korean Artists
Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art (RAFMA) new art exhibit consist of a solo show for the Lebanese American Artist Rabbia Sukkarieh and a group show for Korean Artists displayed in the backspace. "DARKEVENTWHITEHORIZON" the solo show by Artist Rabbia Sukkarieh first presented as people walked in, with drawings and a wall sculpture, creating a sense of being different and unique. On February 8, 2019, CSUSB hosted its 2nd annual Women’s Leadership Conference in the Santos Manuel Student Union that hosted presentations by Melissa Abad, Bob Bland, Tamika D. Mallory and a leadership panel that consisted of various prominent working women throughout southern California. The event commenced with Elle Magazine’s We The People video that showcased newly elected women of Congress reading the preamble to the Constitution of the United States. On Jan. 29, Syrian-American Hip-Hop artist and poet, Omar Offendum, shared his talents and story with students, staff and faculty of CSUSB during Syrianamericana: A Nation-State of Mind in the Santos Manuel Student Union. San Bernardino's Generation Now was tactical in its way of having the community break away from the typical hangout to enjoy festivities at the Garcia Center for the Arts in San Bernardino on May 26. As a third year political science major, Barcenas has been involved in ASI for as long as he’s been on campus. This Wednesday, the Santos Manuel Student Union will host an Armed Forces Appreciation Day from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Gamers Lounge.
