Latin Night is just around the corner, as it will be taking place on Friday, Nov. 17 at the Santos Manuel Student Union (SMSU) Lobby and Events Center, where everyone is invited to dance the night away to Latin music. "It brings the Latino culture and a lot of people get excited about it," said Programming Student Assistant for Program Board Destiny Lara Benzor. Program Board works with different organizations on campus and is dedicated to promote a sense of community at CSUSB through free, exciting, and entertaining events. Homecoming Celebrations
Coordinated by the Office of Student Engagement, CSUSB had its annual Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 21, as a way to bring students, alumni, staff and community members together to celebrate what it is like to be a Coyote. “The purpose of Homecoming is celebration,” said Alumni Engagement Coordinator, Crystal Wymer-Lucero. Students gathered in the Santos Manuel Student Union Events Center to hear their fellow peers express themselves in a supportive and encouraging environment. Participants expressed themselves through various art forms, whether it was through poetry or song, it was their way of sharing with the audience who they are. Halloween Night Lights

The corner of Deercreek Drive in Riverside, was a busy one this Halloween season thanks to the work of Kevin Judd and his team. The show incorporates a bevy of LED light strips running along the frames of the front of the house and also designed in the shape of spooky Halloween themed faces. Senior students on campus received plenty of useful information regarding graduation at the pre-graduation party, which was held at 9 a.m. to 4 p.m, Nov. 1. For $12 the festival offered a large selection of taco stands, drinks, and live performances. Apparently it didn't to some of our students, even though posters of the event were plastered around our schools halls. With barely any information given about the event other than the time and place, it was a surprise to simply find a piece of artwork that was barricaded and advertised with yet another one of the posters that was used to sponsor the event. A free event to check out during winter break is the 22nd Annual Festival of Lights, located in Downtown Riverside at the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa. The festival is an annual holiday event that lasts five weeks, beginning Nov. 28th and ending on Jan. 3rd. Students get cooled at Splash-a-Poolooza

The event took place on May 15 at the campus pool and was a success. Many people are not even aware there is a pool on campus. This event was a way to make students aware. A large inflated iceberg replica was placed in the middle of the pool. Fearless students climbed and jumped off the iceberg. Limbo, relay races and a watermelon eating contest gave the event the feeling of a neighborhood pool party. Mental Health Expo: Thrive into Solidarity

Professors, faculty, staff and community members are all teaming up with the Student Health and Psychological Counseling Center to help make this event fun and exciting for students. This year’s Mental Health Expo uses its THRIVE program to help students have fun and learn about ways to increase their mental health.
