Located in room 352 of University Hall, the Office of Undergraduate Studies (UGS) provides important services that CSUSB undergraduate students can use to assist in their academic journey. According to the department webpage, the main goal of UGS is to "help prepare students to become critical thinkers, effective communicators, collaborative employees, scholars, and colleagues who will be the future leaders in a rapidly evolving world." With that goal in mind, there are many programs and features of the UGS division that students can use to make their beginning years at CSUSB less stressful. CSUs may receive millions

By Jorge Campos |Staff Writer| Gov. Jerry Brown proposed a $115.3 million spending plan that could provide millions for the Cal State University system. In return for the spending plan, Brown proposed on Thursday, May 14, to freeze undergraduate tuition for in-state students and establish new tax credit for the working lower class. Lawmakers have until midnight, June 15, to present a fair budget plan and send it to Brown for his signature, according to The San Bernardino Sun. By Jazmin Jett |Staff Writer| Students are preparing to attend CSUSB to receive improved assistance with their English and math courses preceding their enrollment as high school freshmen. Since the end of 2011, the Early Start program has aimed to provide incoming students with remedial courses during the summer to ensure they graduate in a timely manner. It is documented that 57 percent of students entering the Cal State system in Fall 2010 are below proficiency.
