More part-time professors

By Jorge Campos |Staff Writer| California State Universities (CSU) relied on more part-time professors than full-time ones last academic year. Across all 23 campuses in the CSU system, faculty consisted of 51 percent part-time faculty during the 2013-2014 academic school year, according to The Sacramento Bee. Part-time professors, unlike full-time ones, can be hired each semester/quarter as needed and cost considerably less. American beauty is exemplified through song translation in different languages

By Marlyn Rodriguez |Staff Writer| The Coca-Cola Company created an advertisement for the Super Bowl that has stirred up a lot of unnecessary controversy based on ignorant views of the makeup of our country. The commercial consisted of “America the Beautiful” sung in different languages. The advertisement includes the Spanish, Tagalog, Mandarin, Hindi, Hebrew, Keres, Senegalese,French and Arabic languages. As soon as the commercial debuted the backlash began. Professor evaluations forms receive scrutiny

By Caleb Gasteiger |Staff Writer| Many if not all students have filled out a professor evaluation form at least once without any knowledge of where their suggestions, criticisms and compliments end up. CSUSB student Kathryn Wall doesn’t understand who gets evaluated and why. “I had [to do] 3 [evaluations] on Tuesday and I was wondering why my fourth teacher didn’t get evaluated. I’ve also had teachers that I didn’t like... and I never got the chance to evaluate them,” said Wall.
