Students of MUS 2660 are set to create tracks for a joint class music album for their final project. Ryan Adams, a senior entrepreneurship major and a DJ, shares his experiences from making music. Adams is one of Dr. Kevin Zhang’s students. Dr. Zhang plans to release a student-created album by the end of the semester which will contain a range of vocals to instrumentals. Blacklight party slides into San Bernardino
The Blacklight Slide event, hosted by Cool Events, LLC, hit San Manuel Stadium on May 4. This event featured two water slides, with four slides each, flowing with neon glow-in-the-dark water that ensured participants were flushed with color by the time they reached the bottom. The event was free. However, when registering, a small donation and a medical coverage fee were required. Included in the registration was a towel with the logo for the event. The event began at 6 p.m. before the sunset which allowed participants to use the slides in daylight, as well as in the dark when the black lights were turned on. The event was open to all ages. Latin Night is Here!
Latin Night is just around the corner, as it will be taking place on Friday, Nov. 17 at the Santos Manuel Student Union (SMSU) Lobby and Events Center, where everyone is invited to dance the night away to Latin music. "It brings the Latino culture and a lot of people get excited about it," said Programming Student Assistant for Program Board Destiny Lara Benzor. Program Board works with different organizations on campus and is dedicated to promote a sense of community at CSUSB through free, exciting, and entertaining events. DJ Pleaze, DJ Infinity and Kid Disko pumped up students with their custom beats in CSUSB’s first DJ Master Competition. The DJ Master Competition featured some very talented students. Jitterbugging for music scholarships

Attendees covered the dance floor, while the band played popular jazz. CSUSB Jazz Ensemble performed in front of a full house. The event mixed different music genres from Swing to Funk music and Soul. One vocalist, Denise Tillman, took the lead as the band played along to “Respect” by Aretha Franklin.
