Chase bank Hacked

By Jacob Collins |Staff Writer| Chase systems were hacked over the summer, resulting in the release of customers’ personal information. No financial information was stolen but the personal information obtained may be used in scamming attempts. The cyber attack was revealed on Oct. 2 in a securities filing by JP Morgan Chase. The securities filing stated that approximately 76 million households and 7 million small businesses are impacted by the breach. Chase warned that personal information stolen in the attack may be used in phishing or scams targeted towards those affected.
