By Spencer Reifel |Staff Writer| Academy Award winner, Ron Howard, returns to direct Dan Brown's newest book, "Inferno." "Inferno" was released Oct. 28 and has brought in over 150 billion dollars. Brown's previous work 'The Da Vinci Code" and "Angels and Demons," writes novels that mix history with bits of mystery. Brown uses historical pieces and different art work as clues to his treasure hunt. "Inferno," did not disappoint, the director of the movie follows the book's detail very well, from the opening scenes of the hospital, to the final scenes in the symphony. Softball sweeps Monterey Bay

The first game of the series started off rough when outfielder Morgan Ratliff was hit by a pitch, putting her on base. The Coyotes bounced back when Amanda Herrera hit a home run to center field, allowing her and Ratliff to score, putting them ahead in the first 2-0. The Coyotes would not score again until the top of the fourth inning when infielder Kaylee Gemmell hit a home run to center field, adding one more to the scoreboard for the Coyotes. The victim was able to resist the suspect, who fled the scene. Vice President for Administration and Finance, Douglas R. Freer, released a statement describing the suspect as a, "Hispanic male, 19 - 21 years of age, 5-foot-7-inch to 5-foot-8-inch height, 135 -145 pounds, with curly black hair and no facial hair." Students and attendees excitedly waited in line, while waiting to be seated for Yaaass, A Night for Drag. "It is a great way to have fun and to emerge yourself into the LGBT community," said Paul Maldomada, a Pride Center staff member. I attended the play on Feb. 8. at Lifehouse Theatre in Redlands, California, where the characters successfully reenacted the story, “Cinderella.” The play was held in a small theatre, where you could practically reach out and touch the stage. Families filled the theatre with smiles and anticipation for the musical production to start. By Jasmine Turner |Staff Writer| The CSUSB Events Center was filled with the heavy hearts of friends, family, and peers who attended an uplifting performance in memory of former student, Danny Ramadan on Saturday Jan. 31. The concert raised money for a scholarship for music students who face financial struggles in pursuing their passion of music. In June 2014, a former CSUSB graduate, Ramadan, and his girlfriend, Leslie Gonzalez, were on their way to an end-of-year banquet when they were involved in a traffic accident. By Jasmine Turner |Staff Writer| Enthusiasts soared like butterflies in the CSUSB play, “Black Butterfly”, written by Luis Alfaro and directed by Johanna Smith, a story of young Latina girls growing up in the rural areas of East Los Angeles. Smith put the story in the perspective that, “Truth is inspiring and reality is inspiring.
