CSUSB’s extravagant artistic expression

By Rafael Velasquez |Staff Writer| The Arts and Music Festival attracted hundreds of guests of all groups, ages and careers on May 13 on campus, stretching from the art building to the Lower Commons. The art fair had a plentiful collection of ceramics, photography, chalk, dots, sketches and paintings which further appealed guests through the displayers' unique art and styles. An evening of swing and jazz has students dancing

By Sung Wi | Staff Writer Jazz music rocked the Santos Manuel Student Union on Nov. 5, as the annual event known as Bop n’ Hop. The event was held by Dr. Robert Knop, CSUSB Jazz and Samba director. Nearly 400 people attended and enjoyed the live event. Attendees who arrived early could receive dance lessons at 6:30 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., the live music started, led by Dr. Knop. Students of the Music 391 class known as the CSUSB Jazz Ensemble played 10 swing music songs featuring vocalist Denise Tillman. Live entertainment to hit local theaters

By Shannon Luster |Staff Writer| The local theaters and venues in San Bernardino and Riverside offer highly anticipated live entertainment ranging from plays to music festivals and performances. The Fox Theater is well known for historically being the first theater to present the classic movie “Gone with the Wind,” starring Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable back in 1939. The Masters of Harmony returned to the venue with a performance called “Pulling Out the Stops," on April 28.
