Is campus food really expensive?

By Torilynn Qualls |Staff Writer|.   I have found that Sodexo’s on-campus food pricing is comparable to off-campus fast food and lowering the prices will strain the workers financially, so if you don’t like it bring your own food. Generally, a combo meal at any fast food restaurant will cost around $7 and the same can be said for the majority of food establishments on campus. However, many students believe that food pricing on campus is way too high. “My tuition is way too much for me to be spending about $10 on campus just for food,” said student Courtney Cypert. Healthier food options found at the commons

By Maria Perry |Staff Writer| Limited food options at CSUSB should make students think twice about what kind of nourishment they need to be consuming. The two main on-campus food locations are the Student Union and the Commons. I think the Commons provides more healthier food option than the Student Union. While it may still serve a lot of greasy food, the Commons at least gives people the choice between eating healthy or eating junk food. The food is prepared right after you order, making it fresher. Commons gets it right, but should be open late night

By Dominique Sterling |Staff Writer| CSUSB will never become a school known for great school spirit unless it becomes a place where students who live on and off campus have a place to meet and socialize late at night. The main and easiest way people can socialize is around food, and there is no better place on campus to do that than the Commons with their main dining room. I have been attending the CSUSB campus for three years and had never eaten at the Commons until last Thursday. Since then it has become my first choice for a meal.
