The Writing Center at CSUSB is offering guidance to students struggling with plagiarism on their research papers. Shelby Reeder, a Writing Center adviser, led a plagiarism workshop to highlight the most common ways students plagiarize and how to prevent it. "There are two main types of plagiarism that students often struggle with," Reeder said, "These types are known as intentional and unintentional plagiarism." Reeder displayed a presentation to students with various examples of plagiarism seen in research papers. College of Education Turns 10
The College of Education has hosted a lot of receptions. As every few months may bring a new set of chairs and picnic tables to the lobby, April 25 was no exception. It was the 10th annual anniversary of the College of Education. “Originally, it was a celebration. It was just a celebration of the residency in this building for ten years,” Interim Dean Jake Zhu said. “But, over the course of the (planning) it changed and evolved into many things.” How then does a College of Education celebrate? Counselor program among best in the nation

CSUSB hosts informational event for prospective college students

The informational was held in the College of Education building room 105 for students in grades 6-8 and parents interested in learning about how to prepare for future educational opportunities. College of Ed receives architectural award

The CSUSB Office of Capital Planning, Design and Construction (CPDC) and the architectural firm LPA Inc. were presented with a certificate of achievement for the design of the building. The certificate was presented by the American Institute of Architects Inland California at an awards diner held at University of Riverside on April 28. “This award means acknowledgement for design excellence,” said Hamid Azhand, director and executive facilities officer of CPDC. Sanchez-Munoz has high hope

One such candidate is Juan Sanchez-Munoz, a professor at Texas Tech University. Sanchez-Munoz’s admiration for being a dean at CSUSB drives him to work hard and put forth his whole heart into being one of the best in the administration. By Lindsey Martinovich Staff Writer CSUSB has appointed a new director of development for the College of Education. “I’ve always been passionate about education,” said Richonette “Ricki” McManuis, CSUSB’s new director of development for the College of Education. McManuis gladly accepted the job opportunity at CSUSB after spending 10 years at Altera Credit Union as the Senior Vice President of corporate communications. At Altera, she oversaw the marketing and business department and was responsible for public relations, doing such things as press releases.
