On April 19, the Cal State San Bernardino Center for Global Management hosted the 2018 International Market on the Lower Commons Patio from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event allowed for various student organizations and local companies to come together in an environment that promoted cultural appreciation. The International Market was also a partnership with CSUSB's Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration, Center for International Studies & Programs, Associated Students Incorporated, Coyote Radio, Cross Cultural Center, and the Recreation and Wellness Center. CSUSB retains prestigious business accreditation
By Andres Ibarra |Staff Writer| CSUSB’s College of Business has been considered one of the best business schools in the world by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), according to the school’s Public Affairs staff. CSUSB is one of very few schools to receive the honor of being accredited by the AACSB. The College of Business first received accreditation in 1994, and since then the college has done all in its power to make sure that it maintains that prestige. Dr. Astrid Sheil keeps busy on campus
By Erin Campbell | Staff Writer | Funny and inspiring, Dr. Astrid Sheil has taken on her newest task as the official Interim Chair for accounting and finance. A typical day in the life of Dr. Sheil begins with a 5:30 a.m. workout session, whether it's Zumba class, lifting weights or walking her dogs. After her workout, she heads straight to work. Her days are mostly filled with meetings with students, advising them on how to make their college experience as smooth and stress free as possible. Robinson Luncheon
Alejandra Arana| Staff Writer James A. Robinson, one of the founders of the Security Bank of California, was honored as a 2012 Arrowhead Distinguished Executive Officer on Friday, April 20. The award was given by CSUSB’s College of Business and Public Administration office. The luncheon was held in the Obershaw Dining Room in the Upper Commons and was filled with people from San Bernardino and Riverside communities. Robinson is CEO and Chairman of Security Bank of California and has also created the James A. Robinson Scholarship for finance and entrepreneurial students at CSUSB.
