Coffee shop

Bad Ass Coffee (Company)

October 22, 2018 by Karina Escamilla 39 Comments

A local, Hawaiian-themed coffee shop brought the taste and feeling of Aloha to Rancho Cucamonga at Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii. The shop has developed its loyal customers over its nine years of business at their Rancho location and has a very laid-back and welcoming environment, which is what sets this spot apart from others. Here you can get 100 percent Kona Coffee, varieties of drinks containing unique flavors, and coffee ice cubes in your iced beverages. The Kona blend originates from Kona, Hawaii, where the native donkeys carry the coffee beans throughout the island. These donkeys came to be called “The Bad Ass Ones”, giving the small franchise its name. The blend was described … [Read more...] about Bad Ass Coffee (Company)

Seaside Audio & The Fathomless Feel rock Back to the Grind

October 11, 2014 by Archived posts 1 Comment

By Nadia Ahmad |Staff Writer| Back to The Grind, a venue known for its open mics and local gigs, featured two charming bands: Seaside Audio and The Fathomless Feel. Seaside Audio is a band that will cause you to get lost in the moment, and The Fathomless Feel will have you dancing around your room or rocking out in your car. The intimate crowd consisted of loyal Seaside Audio and The Fathomless Feel fans who heard about the show through the grapevine. The rest of the crowd seemed to be a few coffee lovers who were there to catch up on some homework on a Saturday night. As soon as Seaside Audio took the stage everyone immediately looked up from their screens and never looked back … [Read more...] about Seaside Audio & The Fathomless Feel rock Back to the Grind

You know you go to CSUSB when…

February 6, 2014 by Archived posts 602 Comments

By Adrian Carlos |Staff Writer| Endless Starbucks line, building frustration from waiting for a parking spot that seems will never appear and waking up frantically in the Student Union after over-sleeping. These are just a few of the things that unite us as students and characterize CSUSB pride. What makes CSUSB students different from students from other universities? I asked students around campus to give me their opinion on what embodies the students here. You know you're a CSUSB student when... "You see the sun come and go down on the same day from the library," said Ivanna Carlos. "When your favorite color and all your clothes are now blue," said Quinn … [Read more...] about You know you go to CSUSB when…

January 17, 2014 by Archived posts 4 Comments

By Lily Perez |Staff Writer| The coffee shop, Back to the Grind located in downtown Riverside welcomed Indie artists to their basement stage on Jan. 11. This coffee shop draws in many because of its atmosphere, amazing coffee and support of the arts. Great Ghosts, Sheep’s Head, Suzie’s Dead, Ancient Crux, and The Big Nothing all infused the audience with their eclectic sounds. Electric beats, soothing acoustic folk ballads to the overpowering sound of drums and bass for all those mosh pit enthusiasts. Each band had something unique to offer the audience . “I don’t know any of the bands but I have been here once before and needed something to do tonight, so I knew this would … [Read more...] about Back to the Grind infused the audience with eclectic sounds
