The Assistance League of Victor Valley Thrift Shop or otherwise known as Common Cents, located in Apple Valley, California is the place to find deals on second-hand items and used clothes that have been examined for defects, washed and dried before purchase. CSUSB baseball returns with new faces
By Willis Torres [Staff Writer] Coyotes will be welcoming their new Head Coach David Martinez as the 2016 baseball season approaches. Martinez, a graduate of CSUSB, has a strong history as a pitching coach. He's worked with universities such as Dixie State University of Utah, University of New Mexico, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Martinez will be working with other members of the coaching staff who include Coach Brett Hambright and Coach Joe Villa. This will be the first season Hambright will be coaching for the Coyotes. Walk-off balk ends Coyotes’ baseball playoff hopes
After Sonoma State runners advanced into scoring position on two separate wild pitches in the bottom of the ninth, third baseman Jeff Boulware scored on a walk-off balk, ending the Coyote's season in a 3-2 loss. The uneventful call given by homeplate umpire Rob Hansen was at the expense of Coyote reliever Josh Pond, who had just struck out pinch-hitter Danny Dworkin, putting the 'Yotes one out away from winning their first CCAA tournament game since 2002. The heartbreaking bottom of the ninth came after the Coyotes had back-to-back two-out hits that scored their only two runs of the game. By Eileen Gutierrez & Brittany Filippini|Staff Writers| CSUSB on road to nationals, next game Dec. 1 The first game of the West Regional tournament proved that the Coyotes could make adjustments on the court in a matter of seconds to stay ahead of the competition as the Coyotes beat the Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves 3-1. “We knew it was going to be a very physical match. They’re big, they jump very well. I thought they did a good job with some blocking matchups,” said Coach Cherniss.
