The Lemon Festival started back in 1997, making this the 20th time that the city of Upland had put on a the festival that started off as a small festival. The Lemon Festival is a collaboration between Upland and The Learning Centers at Fairplex (TLC). TLC had its own area set up with volunteers handing out maps of the festival grounds. The NOS made its first appearance from March 6 to March 11, 1911 but did not operate during World War II (1942-1945). The NOS is “celebrating a century of citrus fun,” according to nosevents.com. Although the weather was gloomy and it was expected to rain like every other year, the event still went on, raising the question of the so-called rumored “curse” placed on the land by the Serrano Indians. National Orange Show: more than a fair time

To commemorate the holiday, the city held the 97th annual National Orange Show Festival. The NOS Festival consisted of “music, food, world-class carnival and midway, indoor and outdoor shopping, petting zoo, pig races, circus and animal acts, hypnotists, clowns and juried art show,” as stated by advertisements. This year there was a new twist to the festival, which integrated a diversity theme to show the different cultures in our county. ‘Yote Gras begins

This activity packed week, that takes place all over campus, precludes the annual Homecoming Dance Feb. 10, at 10 p.m. and ending with a tailgate party. “Yote Gras Homecoming Celebration will feature events where students can show Coyote pride while promoting their organizations,” said homecoming planner Sharaya Tran.
