Weightlifting is viewed by some, as either intimidating or as something that is masculine and could potentially hinder their feminine appearance. When a small sample of female students were asked if they lifted weights on a regular basis, all of them said, “no.” “I associate weightlifting with muscle mass and bulkiness,” said student Angelica Ramos. Cycle Fit class will get your heart racing
By Lily Perez |Staff Writer| The Cycle Fit class, an indoor cycling class at the CSUSB Rec Center, will give students one hell of a ride. Kinesiology Professor Dr. Michelle Alencar instructs the class on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 a.m. Waking up early to workout is definitely a challenge, but some are up for the task. If it's your first time, arriving to class early to warm up and stretch is always a good idea. Students can set up their bikes in the front row with the pros or ride in the back, climb on and be off to the races. The class starts off nice and steady, but that doesn't last long.
