November 15, 2016 by Diara Fowler Leave a Comment

By Diara Fowler |Staff Writer| As the professional basketball season kicks off, many hopeful fans anxiously await, hoping their team making it to the National Basketball Association (NBA) finals this year. "Even though I grew up in Rancho Cucamonga, I've always been a fan of the Golden State Warriors as I have many family members up towards the Bay Area," said business major Arin Tanji. The Golden State Warriors began their 2016-2017 season with a 4-1 record. Holding hope and courage from their first four wins, they strive to make it back to the championships again this year. Coyotes take Idaho

November 22, 2014 by Archived posts Leave a Comment

By Lily Perez |Asst. A&E Editor| Women’s volleyball ended their regular season on a high note after two consecutive wins against Cal State Los Angeles Golden Eagles and Cal State Dominguez Hills Bulls. On Nov. 13 Coyotes faced the Golden Eagles in what would turn out to be an intense match for their 3-1 win. To no ones surprise the small set-back did not hold the Coyotes down for too long as they took back control of … [Read more...] about Coyotes take Idaho

Can Lebron James win a third straight championship or are the Indiana Pacers ready to take a shot at the title? Can Kevin Durant put a feather on the cap on what seems to be a lock for his first Most Valuable Player award with a championship? Or do the Los Angeles Clippers legitimately have a chance to hang a banner in the Lakers home arena. From seasoned veteran teams such as the San Antonio Spurs … [Read more...] about NBA playoffs shoot towards championship

Diaries of a Jet Setter: A guy’s guide to getting lost in Chicago

February 29, 2012 by Archived posts Leave a Comment

By R. Anthony Diaz |Asst. Features Editor| Mobsters, trains, machine guns and godly skyscrapers. Most people associate dark things to Chicago but it is anything but. In fact, looking in you really notice its true beauty when you’re sailing on Lake Michigan and see the skyline. All of a sudden the city sounds become faint, as the sun sets in the East and the city lights up like a pile of diamonds glistening on the horizon. Although it  is a beautiful city it still has its flaws; I did not realize I had stepped into risky territory until it was too late. I found myself working for Tony Demasi, founder of Tsunami Capital and the Tsunami Foundation. Along with many driven men … [Read more...] about Diaries of a Jet Setter: A guy’s guide to getting lost in Chicago
